FRIDAY, MAY 4, 1951 200 Faculty Members, Students Attend Jr,-Sr. Faculty Reception Approximately 200 faculty members and students mingled among the spring flowers which decorated Simmons lounge Wednes day night for the junior-senior faculty reception. The centerpiece on the serving table was made un of daffodils, pink carnations, - and daisies. Cherry blossoms and forsythia were placed on the tables in the lounge and the lobby. Candlelight Thet punch was served by candlelight. The center of the punch bowl contained chipped ice, frozen in a circular form with red raspberries and green mara schino cherries. Green ,pink, white, and yelloW mints. were served to the guests along with iced cookies and nuts. Faculty members were in fox mal dress. The punch was served by Eileen Bonnert, Lois Evans, Norma Gleghorn, Ruth Johnson, Helen Pond, Elizabeth Swift, Joan Wentzel, and Ella Louise Wil liams. Col. Marion G. Ferguson and his team conferred with Lt. Col. Jack W. Dieterle, professor of air science and tactics at the Col lege and with representatives of the College. Air Force classes and adminis trative activities of the detach ment were inspected by the team. A discussion of methods of im proving the operations of the de tachment was held with members of the department at the conclu sion of the inspection. It is open to the public. Women To Debate Against Duquesne The women's debate team will hold two debates with Duquesne University at 3 p.m. tomorrow in the southeast lounge of Atherton Hall. Ethel Brown and Peggy Fah ringer will take the affirmative side of the question, "Resolved: That the non-Communist nations should form a new international organization". Lois Pulver, man ager of the team, will be chair man. Eileen Olessker and Shirley Gallagher will argue the negative in the second debate, and Joyce Buchanan will be chairman. The same topic will be used. The debate is open to the pub lic.
