Ley burn, and Ruth Harding have been named winners of the advertising layout contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Publish ers association for advertising majors in the Department of Journalism. Prof. Donald W. Davis, in charge of the advertising sequence at the College, announced the award winners. Duff won the first award of $l5, Leyburn, second $lO. and Miss Harding, third, $5. Arthur Anderson, James Gef fert, and Clair Dorman were given honorable mention. Judging of the contest' was un der the direction of Robert R. Mc- Cracken, advertising manager of the Norristown Herald and chair man of the PNPA Display Adver tising committee. A resolution asking the Col lege to \ select residents of the West dorms on a seniority semes ter basis was also approved by the council, an a committee was set up to work with the dean of men's office on the problem of housing.
