Spring styles an d the forth
coming Easter parade interested
us to the point wondering what
our favorite girlfriend wou:
wear on that day of clothes exhi
bition. For the 'answer; we
thumbed through the fashion
section of -the New York-Times.
While reading - the selling points
of garinents, we discovered that
the magic words of advertising
have 'turned fashion ads into
something resembling a French
novel.
Nylon stockings were rated as
seductive and imparted to our
girlfriend's 'lower extremities a
"downright scandalous allure."
She would, of course,' encase her
legs in a color called Bird of
Paradise Nitide.
Beneath her Easter 'suit, which
the ad pointed. out "sneered at
"wrinkles, moths, and
.mildew,",
she wnuld probably wear a girdle
.with an "incredible web of pow
'en" As another advertisement

Hold Mixer Tues.
The Liberal Arts student coun
cil will sponsor a mixer Tuesday
at 7:30 p.m. in the TUB for stu
dents and faculty of the Liberal
Arts school.
There will be . no admission tc
the mixer and the music will be
furnished by Darrell Rishel and
