Eight New Recommendations Proposed At Panhel Retreat Sorority presidents and Panhellenic delegates drew up a series of recommendations at the Panhellenic retreat held Saturday in Maple cottage. The group, called together by Nancy George, Panhellenic president, discussed sorority problems and ways to overcome them. The recommendations are to be considered by the Pan- helleriic Council. They came out of the discussions held on such topics as interfraternity coopera tion. scholarship, public relations, activities, social relations and alumnae' assistance. The recommendations drawn up by the group are: 1. Find a central meeting place where all Panhellenic activities may be carried on. 2. Set up a system of schedul ing all social events between fra ternities and sororities, so that some sororities will not be over burdened with too many parties in one week. Panhel Booklet 3. Compile a booklet with com plete information on sororities on campus to be sent out to all wom en expected on campus. 4. Present a show or some oth er activity with all sororities con tributing to the event and all proceeds to be equally divided. The proceeds would be used for the philanthropy projects of each grotip, 5. Set up a system of supervised study hours for all sorority wom en vlhose marks are not satisfac tory. 6. Schedule monthly meetings between sorority officers, such as presidents, pledge trainers, and treasurers. Newsletter 7. Publish a newsletter similar to the Interfraternity council newsletter. 8. Send junior panhellenic member to senior panhellenic meetings. The retreat was called a suc cess by Miss George. Another one will be planned for March or April and both juniors and sen iors will attend it. Besides the thirty-eight sorority women, Mrs. A. K. Anderson, Mrs. J. F. O’Brien; and Miss Brewer, advisors, attended the retreat. WSGA Members To Hear O'Brien Mrs. Joseph O’Brien, wife of the debate squad coach, will speak to the members of WSGA next Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the WSGA senate room, White hall. Parliamentary procedure will be the theme of Mrs. O'Brien’s talk to the group. This talk will be heard by the Senate, House of Representatives, Freshman Council, Leonides officers, WRA board and presidents of the wom ens’ honoraries.
