PAGE FOUR Elections— (Continued from page one) sophomore vice-presidential can didate, and John Harris were hit. Rosfeld was hit in the ear with an apple and Harris was hit in the eye with an egg. They were taken to the infirmary for treatment and were discharged. Edwin Barnitz, chairman of the All - College elections committee, said the affair was “very thought less” and said that although the elections committee had no juris diction in the matter, an investi gation would be made and the guilty parties would be strictly disciplined if they were caught. 'Foolish' Huber Stevens, Lion clique chairman, termed the demonstra tion as “unsportsmanlike conduct and very foolish.” He said that someone might have been ser iolisly hurt and deplored the con duct of the men who were asso ciated in it. He said he believed it “was not the fault of either party.” The State party held a parade last night'which toured the town and fraternity sections. The can didates rode in convertibles and a band accompanied the parade, The Staters had held their cam pus parade Saturday and so were not allowed to tour the campus because of an elections code rul ing which states that only one campus parade may be held by each party during a campaign. " Barnitz urged every sophomore and freshman to get out and vote “for a better student govern ment.” He said that about 4,300 students were eligible to vote and said he hoped that a large percen tage of them would turn out to vote today. Barnitz said that it would take only a few minutes to vote because of the alphabetical system of voting. There will be an alphabetical breakdown of the voters by last names and there will be six tables at which to vote.
