For the first time, the scholarships were presented directly to the students by the donor or a representative. Sears Roebuck scholarships of $lOO each were awarded to Ed is Conable, William Clayton, Har- ward Adkins, James Allison, Wi' old Dubois, James Hudson, Adam Kois, Victor Plastow, Floyd Roush, Conrad Shuman, William Sipple Jr., Paul Stone, Roger Strait, Raymond Struble, Donald Taylor and Lowell Lewis. James Haughwout was the win ner of the $3OO Borden award. Pensylvania Power and Light scholarships of $lOO and $2OO were awarded to John Davis, Barry Rumberger, Edward F?h nel, Donald Gilbert, William Wagner Jr., Kermit Knauss; Howard Killian, John Blanchard, James McKeehen, Raymond Ard, Charles Zellner and Joan Bur lein.
