PAGE SEVEN Sigma Delta Tau Recently pledged to Sigma Del ta Tau were Sarah Bassell, Ro berta Goldberg, Rosalind Gross, and Janice Robbins. thru the Looking Glass with George Remember in the last col umn I mentioned I had found three deek-ends? Well, darhed if a fellow didn't call in to say he was the one who lost them.. Competition is Stiff Which made me very happy, because it proved someone had read the column. With this en couragement, I start dreaming about being a Mr. Ferris (big Wheel in the advertising busi ness). I pick up the Philadel phia Inquirer to look at want ads and find an agency wants a copywriter. The agency gives The re quirements. But then they add this line. "Our stiff has been notified of this ad." That's wit for George. But Not Ethers Prices , But the stuff Ethel has in her store is for everybody. And the prices certainly are not stiff. Why, she's got the handsomest note paper you've ever written home for money on for only 50 and 60 cents. There's even a pen and pencil set to write with for only $l. And for 98 cents, you can get one of those popular beer - can cigarette lighters that holds so much fluid you have to stop at a gas station to fill up. Light of Your Life Speaking of lighters, here's the neatest trick of the semes ter. It's the Cobra, a lighter so small you can wear it on a charm bracelet. It measures less than an inch in any direc tion. And it works ("we dare them all"). What's more, the Cobra is a stunning addition to your ensemble. The body comes in bright red, green, or alligator, with gold colored metal parts and trim. It looks like an expensive lighter, but the price is actually only $3. lef you want to be the light of Irks life, this is it. When a Zipp(o) Is Worth a 3 Another bright light is the ever faithful Zippo, all dolled up in leather to look like a fine piece of luggage. It comes in green, I:gue, red, brown, pump kin, and mustard, with gold embellishment. The standard price on this is $5. Not guar anteed to light under water. But try it on the top row of the grandstand on a windy Saturday afternoon: it stays lighted anyplace there's air. Which reminds me it's time for me to take some. See yon next week • £th 112 E.
