Deadline For
Ball Queen
Is Saturday
Saturday is the deadline for
submitting pictures of • candi
dates for the title of Belle Hop
Ball Queen. The ball, an annual
• affair, will be held at Recreation
Hall on October 21. It is sponsor
ed by the Greeters, an organi
zation of hotel administration
students.
Rule for entering girls in the
contest are:
1. Any group or organization
on campus may sponsor. a coed.
2. Groups wishing to enter
girls will bring or mail pictures,
but not snapshots with the name
of the girl and the organization
sponsoring her to the hotel ad
ministration office, Home Eco
nomics Building.
3. The pictures will be judged
by a panel of impartial judges,
and five finalists will be selected.
4. The winner, to be selected
from the five finalists, will be
chosen by popular applause at
the ball. ,
5. The winner will be awarded
the Belle Hop Ball's cup.

one exception is a veteran outfit,
they have decided not to elect a
captain for the entire season, but
name a new one for each meet.
Al Porto, of Ambridge, will cap
tain the team against the Pan
thers.
Penn State teams have an en
viable record of never finishing
any worse than fourth in the na
tional championships. The Lion
thinclads copped the coveted title
twice since Werner has been
coach. The national championship
teams of '42 and '47 may be sur
passed by the performance of
this year's team if the recent time
trials are any criteria of what is
to come.
