    On Campus
With Frosh
One story on campus about
the deeds and misdeeds of the
new crop of freshman concerns
the poor guy living over in Jordan
Hall. It seems that they're tearing
up the hallway outside his •door
and he has to go through a
window every time he wants to
get into his room. His parents
entered the same way when they
came to visit him.
Upperclassmen on campus are
waiting for the classic freshman
story to appear, some time this
week. It seems that the unknow
ing frosh walked up to the third
floor of the women's building to
pick up his date.
One bewildered frosh thought
he recognized a fellow walking
inward him in McAllister Hall,
and narrowly missed colliding
with the large mirror there.
Another came up to the Alpha
Phi Omega information booth on
the Mall and asked the direction
to 108 Old Main street.
It could have been the same
one that remarked how cute a
fellows hat was in Rec Hall the
other night. The frosh asltbd the
guy where he got it, and was told
Old Main. The young one then
asked if the bow ties could be
purchased there also, and was it
necessary to start wearing the

stuff before the first day of clas
ses. Noticing a black look that
matched the black hat the guy
was wearing, he asked in a trem
ulous voice what class the guy
was in. "Junior" was the reply,
and the frosh excused himself and
slunk away, followed by evil
looks from the eight batmen who
had been sitting in front of him.
One frosh ag student asked
his romnate how to spell agri
culture, and another one prac
tically crawled into the ?SCA
office and wanted to replace the
Student Handbook he had lost
that day. It seems that he had
received it the day before.
The arrows in the PSCA office
to direct newcomers to the room
where the handbooks are don't
seem to mean much. Luther
Harshbarger, PSCA director, has
had a goodly number of visitors
for handbooks, although a sign
outside his door plainly indicates
that the room is in the opposite
direction.
