The Kappa chapter of Sigma

sional earth science fraternity, re
cently initiated 6 undergraduates
and 7 faculty associates.
Ceremonies preceded a ban
quet held in honor of the initiates,
at which Prof. Arthur H. Reede,
department of economics faculty
member, was guest speaker. New
officers also were elected.
• Undergraduates initiated are
Robert Aiken, Homer Harris,
Stanley Luft, John Rigone, Will
iam Stewart, and James Wasson.
Initiated faculty associates are
John Griffiths, John Hoffman,
James Magor, Shiou-Chuan-Sun,
Quinton Soprano, Ram Thakur,
and Raymond Zimmerman.

Intramural Pins
Leonides pin awards were re
cently given for participation in
intramural sports during the 1949-
50 season because of the excellent
record they made for the organ
ization.
Those receiving pins were: Sal

lita Mountjoy, Evelyn Laning,
Jane Lerew, Helen Rusinko, Jack

Chi held its annual Sweetheart
dance. Nancy Showers, Alpha
