Harry Helm has been elected
president of Pi Kappa Alpha,
and Thomas Karolcik vice
president for the coming semes
ter. Ned 'Foster will' serve as

Sigma 'Nu
Six men were recently initiat
ed into Sigma Nu fraternity.
They include: Thomas Cotton,
Anthony Eagle, William Kiik,
Willoughby Nicolls,. Thomas Rice
and Owen Wilkenson.

P. S. Club to Hold
Semi-Formal Dance
The Penn State Club will hold
its second annual dance at the
University Club tonight from 9-
12 with. music furnished by the
Statesmen. '
The semi-formal dance will be
an invitational affair open only to
members of the club. No corsages
will be worn as roses will be giv
en at the ;door. A special theme
for the dance, which has been
kept secret, will be announced at
,the affair, Refreshments will be
served.
Chairman of the dance com
mittee is Craig Aicher. Other
committee members are: Robert
Perry. Robert' Richardson, Sam
uel Horst, Moylan Mills, Daniel

The engagement of Miss Gloria
Moulton, a member of Beta Sigma

Rehkopf; a senior in the School of
Agriculture, has been announced.
Picnic Postponed
The Newman Club picniC sche
duled for tomorrow has been
postponed until Saturday, May 27.
The picnic will be held at Black
Moshannan State Park, and buses
will leave McElwain Hall and the
rectory of Our Lady of Victory

A top scholar andROTC Honor Graduate;
Cadet Lt. Col. Nathan Adams enjoyed,
his final military ball in 1940, soon, left
for Fort Sill's Field Artillery . School. '
Within months Adams was overseas, flying
"rhubarbs" (missions against enemy
transport). He flew 63 P-47 missions with
in seven months, returned to the States
late in 1944 for rest and recuperation.

Following a three month course, Lt.
Adams decided the Air Force was the place
for.him. He applied for pilot training, was
accepted, ' proceeded to Maxwell Field.
V-J Day came, and Adams decided to
make, the service a career. He choose per
sonnel work as his career field, was as
signed for training to the Adjutant Gen
eral's School at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Stine to Reign
At Dairy Show
Charlotte Stine, a junior in
home economics, will reign over
today's Dairy Exposition, pro
gram and will award ribbons to
contestants.
Charlotte will be present at
the livestock pavilion for the fit
ting and showing contests which
will continue from 1:00 to 5:00
this afternoon.
This is not Charlotte's first
honor. For two successive years
she was winner over more than
two thousand contestants for the
title Queen of the Production and
Marketing • Demonstration of the
U.S. Department of Agriculture.
This dark haired junior, a Home
Economics major from Hershey,
is publicity chairman of Kappa
Delta sorority and is secretary of
the Home Economics Club.

Fighter Group in Puerto 'Rico. The group
soon returned to the States, giving Adams
a chance to marry-his college sweetheart.
Now a regular Air Force Major, he heads
a 32-man section at Bolling Air Force
Base. He advises his Commanding Officer
on selection, assignment and promotion of
all officers and airmen in the command.
