Tales of the Arabian Nights
Theme of Annual Aquacade
All of the wonders of Scheherazade will be revealed in the
White Hall pool at 8 o’clock this Friday and Saturday evening, when
51 femmes fatales in bathing suits will perform in the annual spring
aquacade. With the'Tales of the Arabian Nights as the theme, Shir
lye Gallagher will narrate the intriguing stories which induced the
Sultan to spare Sheherazade’s life for 1001 nights.
Meanwhile, the swimmers will
enact the fables of Sinbad, Alad
din, the Young Prince -and the
Princess, Ali Baba and the Forty
Thieves, and the Fisherman pr»d
the Genie. To augment the Orien
tal atmosphere, Rimsky-Korsa
koff’s Scheherazade Suite will
serve as the musical background.

Sechler and Elizabeth W. Spencer
have created a colorful backdrop
depicting typical scenes. Lois
Evans wrote the script; while,
the routines were originated by
Barbara Benck, Lois Evans, Mari
lyn Guillet, Anna Keller, Lucy
Mitinger, Bette Webber, and Lo
lita Ann Wolfe.

Chimes’ national headquarters

Chimes was set up by Ohio State,
Penn State, Temple, and West

chapters now number eight and
a merger is being planned with
Key and Scroll, a junior honorary

Chimes is a service organiza

girls help orient incoming stu

magazines in the dormitory
lounges, helped to sell Penn State
calenders, and ushered at several
College functions.
