PAGE FOUR Lion Units--- (Continued from page three) 27-3, and Harvard, 16-12. They 'also fought to 16-16 tie with Brown. ARMY'S ATTACK Army's attack is featured by 155-pound Dean Mulder, 4th placer in the 1949 EIWA tourna ment at 165 pounds. Mulder breezed through dual meet com petition last year without losing a bout, and the West Point mat man has lost but one—to NCAA runner-up Ken Hunte of Syra cuse—this season. Another top-notcher on the Cadet crew is Philo Lange, who may not wrestle against the Lions. Lange has improved con siderably since last year, help ed immeasurably by his drop to the 165-pound bracket. If Lange does not see action, Cadet Lou Scalzo will be at that weight. Scalzo is the brother of a for mer Penn State mat star, Joe Scalzo, an NCAA point-getter in the early '4o's. CHANGES Two weight changes may take place in the Nittanies' roster. Jack Dreibelbis and Jack Waters are still in the running for the 128- pound slot, while Cec Irvin and Bill Slabonik are neck-and-neck in the fight for the right to wres tle Mulder at 155 pounds. Gehrdes Competes In NAAU Contest Track Captain Jim Gehrdes will attempt to get back in tli win column tomorrow night when he faces a strong field in the Na tional AAU 60 yard high hurdles race, The Altoona Flash, who will be the lone member of Coach Chick Werner's Nittany thinclads in the meet, will have as competi tion all of the nation's top hur dlers but that will be no different from any other meet of the year. Jim has beaten every one of them at least once during the season. Included among those Jim will have to beat if he hopes to bring back the spoils are Harrison Dil lard, Notre Dame's Bill Flem ming, Georgetown's Bill Mitchell and Craig Dixon of UCLA. An indication of just how good this group really is, is the fact that in every meet they either equal the world's record for the event or miss by a fraction of a scond. Coach Werner pointed out that in losing to Dixon last week in the New York A.C. games Jim was not at his peak. This was the result of a tetanus shot given Jim at the Millrose games a couple of weeks ago when he broke out in hives. How ever, the Lion mentor feels that Jumpin' Jim is now back in top shape and ready to go. Swimming (Continued from page three) cepted a scholarship for swim ming at Pitt rather than one from the other 16 colleges which put in a bid for his services. Already he is being billed as a '52 Olym pic prospect. ARE YOU A SAINT?
