Fencers Face NYU One of the top-,notch fencing teams in the country will provide the Nittany Lion swordsmen with tough opposition tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Rec Hall. N.Y.U., perenially 'one of the best fencing teams in both N,aw York City and the nation, will bring an experienced squad to Penn State. The Violets not only ranked high in ,the Eastern Inter collegiate fencing matches last season, but captured the saber competition in the same meet. New York New York State will be the scene of • the major athletic action for three of four Nittany teams this weekend. Both the wrestling and boxing teams will compete against Army at West Point while track Captain Jim Gehrdes compete's in the National A.A.U. indoor meet at Madison Square Garden. The swimming team will travel to Pittsburgh to meet the Panthers. • BoxersßattleCadets Penn State's boxing Lions will travel up the Hudson River to face Army's big guns in a Satur day slugging duel. The Cadets and the Nittanymen have met both Western Maryland and Syracuse. The Terrors suc cumbed to the West Point forces, 7 1 / 2 - 1 / 2 , while the Blue and White downed them by a 6 1 / 2 -2 1 / 2 count.
