PENNSYLVANIA ZTA Ruins AEPhi Undefeated Record The Alpha Epsilon Phi girls fell from the list of the undefeated in WRA intramural basketball Thursday night. The team lost to the high-scoring Zeta Tau Alpha's by a 49 to 8 tally. Along with the Zeta Tau Al phas, Leonides and Phi Mu have unblemished records in Thursday night competition. Leonides outplayed the Town girls with a 40 to 24 victory. Eve lyn Lanning paced Leonides with 24 points. Philotes was the third team to fall victim to the strong Phi Mu sextet. Betty Zimmerman and Betty Robb led the girls of Phi Mu to a one-sided 38 to 12 tri umph. - The other three games were low scoring contests. Theta Phi Alpha turned back Phi Sigma Sigma with a 15 to 8 win. In a dormitbry contest Molly Mallard tallied 12 points to star for McElwain B, which downed Simmons with a - 24 to 18 score. Sigma Delta Tau lost in the other White Hall game, as Alpha Xi Delta outpointed them, 18 to 4. Tardy Cagers (Continued from page three) "Susquehanna is only a small school and from what I hear they don't have too much On the ball this year. I'm hopeful that we can take this firft one, but after that it's going to be rough." DISAPPOINTING So far the team which placed fifth among collegiate ,outfits in Pennsylvania last year has not looked too impressive in practice. Lou Lamie, a consistent scoring threat with Lawther's team in '4B-'49, has not, yet shown the promise expected of him. "The thing that bothers me is our, back-board coverage," said Gross. "I'm really disappointed over the way our rebounding is coming along. We've got the big men but they won't get off their feet." Storer, six-feet-three-inch, 265- pounder, and Amprim, six-feet two inches, weighing 100 could be just the tonic the Lions need under the buckets. Both boys were highly praised by Lawther last year as "mighty rough on rebounds." Big Fellow Tallest man on the Lion bas ketball squad will be Jay McMa han, 6-foot-7 son of a former Penn State football and boxing great. Veteran Marty Costa is 6-foot-6..
