Girls’ Dormitories Choose
Representatives to House
Presidents of the various . living units on campus who will
represent their group in the House of Representatives were elect
ed this week.

House Meeting
A meeting was held last night
to elec.t the vice-president and
secretary of the House. ' The
presidents ~of each living unit
take any suggestions or com
plaints to the Hoilse where they
are discussed and acted upon.'
Ella Louise Williams, who was
elected as vice-president of
WSGA last spring is automatic
ally Speaker of the House.
Booth Plans Due
For Mardi Gras
Sorority and group plans for
'booths at the Mortar Board Mar
di Gras must be turned in to Eli
zabeth Taylor at 113 McElwain
today so that duplications of ideas
may be adjusted and new plans
made. , r
The annual Mardi . Gras, held
this year in Recreation Hall from
7 to 9 p.m. next Friday, will fea
ture entertainment of patrons by
sorority booths, the election and
crowning, of .a king, and. the 1 pre
sentation of a cup to the group
which contributes the largest
amount of money from its booth.
Choice of the king will be de
termined by the greatest number
, of pennies which one , contestant
gets. Persons may contribute any
number of pennies for any one
candidate. Pictures of the pros
pective kings will be on display in
the, Athletic Store window on
Monday:

dling the affair, as announced by
Ruth Lehman, president of the
organization, are King Committee,
Shirley Gauger; Publicity, Com
mie Keller and Pauly Moss; Tic
ket, Virginia! Miller; Letters, Eli
sabeth Taylor; and Food, Mary
Cohen. .

New initiates of Kappa Kappa
Gamma are Lois Conover, Patri

Delta Zeta
A dinner was held Monday
night at the Nittany. Lion Inn in
honor of the Delta Zeta Founder’s
Day, October 24, 1902. Alumnae
aiiia sorority members were pres
ent.
Delta Delta Delta
Delta Delta Delta entertained
Sigma Pi fraternity in play room
of McElwain. Hall last Thursday.
A feature of the party was a show
put on by. the Tri-Delts, including
a “Can-Can,” a skit and soft-shoe
number. Refreshments were serv
ed and the rest of the evening Was
spent in playing bridge, ping pong
and dancing.’

Beta Sigma Omicron
Wins Panhel Ciip
Beta Sigma Omicron sorority
was awarded the Paiihellenic
scholarship cup for the third con
secutive semester at a meeting of
the Panhel Council on Tuesday
evening.
Dolores Jelacic, president, who
presented the trophy to June
Weimer, announced that accord
ing to council' rules, a sorority
that receives the award threecon
secutiVe times is permitted. to
keep the cup permanently. A new
trophy will be awarded at the end
of this semester. The sorority
average of Beta Sigma Omicron
for the spring semester was 2.17.

Senior members of Panhel
were presented keys by Miss Je
lacitf in recognition of their ser
vice. Those l who received the
awards, were Joyce Cotter, Con
stance Croushore, Dolores Daly,
Carolyn DeHart, Lois ‘ Dickson,
Ruth Edelstein. Mary Fox, Gilda
Greco, Sue Halperin, Lois Hughes,
Louise Inserra, Dolores Jelacic,

ing begins. Miss Ellamae Jackson,
of the dean of women’s office, an
nounced that bids that are pro
perly addressed, unsealed and
stamped may be turned in to. the
dean’s office at any time after

Expense Accounts
Gilda Greco, chairman of the
rushing committee reminded sor
orities that expense accounts for
formal' rushing are due at the
next meeting of the council which
will be in the Theta Phi Alpha
Suite on November 8.
