PAGE FOUR Gauger Announces Plans For WSGA “Pop-in-Night” WSGA’s traditional “Pop-in-Night” has been planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, November 6, Shirley Gauger, president of WSGA, announced. At this time upperclass women are asked to “pop-in” visit with freshmen girls, makfng them feel more at home increasing their acquaintanceships. A return Pop-in-Night be held the .following Sunday when the visits will be paid by freshmen to upperclasswomen. Miss Gauger and WSGA in de ciding to continue the tradition expressed the hope that this af fair could become of greater sig nificance in the traditional life of coeds at the College than it has been in the past and that a large number of upperclass women would participate in order to make it a success, In past years, visiting upper classwomen, have “popped-in” to visit the inhabitants of the rooms they themselves had ' once occu pied. However, because of the informality of this special night, visits may be made to anyone and for any reason. Plans were discussed atWSGA to hold “Pop-in-Night” in future years at the very beginning of school so that the freshmen might feel welcomed at the time when they most need it. Plans Would have to be made in such an event at the end of the spring semester and thus the idea was unworkable this semester.
