Army Train
Reservations
Open. Monday
Reservations for the special stu
dent train to the Army-Penn
State football. game' at West Point
October 1 may be made at the
ticket windows of the Athletic
Association beginning Monday.
The hours for the sale, which
will continue until Thursday, are
from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and
from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
• Railroad officials announce that
350 reservations must be made to
guarantee the train-.
The fare for the round trip
reservation is set at $15.15 and
the railroad guarantees air-con
ditioned coaches. Also, as a
bonus, a ticket to a radio broad
cast program in New York is of
fered.
The starting time of the trip
was set for 11 p.m. Friday, Sep
tember 30, arriving in West Point
at 9:20 . a.m. Saturday. The train
will leave West Point after the
game at 5 p.m., arrive in Weehaw
ken at 6:20 p.m., leave the Penn
sylvania Station in New York at
3 a.m. Sunday, October 2, and ar
rive in State College at 11 a.m.
There are 250 admission tickets
to. the Army game that are avail
able for new sophomores ' and
freshmen. These are priced at
$4 each and can be bought at the
Athletic Association ticket win
dows in Old Main beginning Mon
day.
Juniors, seniors and 1949 gradu
ates who ordered tickets last May
for. the Army game should have
received them by now. .

bers of Leonides and continue to
be members as long as they, do
not go sorority.
Outlines Publications
Thomas Morgan,. editor of the
Daily Collegian, in outlining stu
den tpublications, said, "One of
the best ways for new students to
learn about Penn State, all its
activities, and what makes it tick,
is to try out, for a publiCation.

counts more than ability. - '
President of the Woman's Stu
dent Government Association,
Shirley Gauger, stressed the fact
that it is very important that wo
men take an active interest in
student government. .
Voice of Tribunal
Robert Keller, chairman of the
Student Tribunal, told about the
Tribunal and Judicial.
Although the Tribunal will
make fines, Keller said, it t ?
primarily set up to prevent sec
ond offenses.

College Scheduling Officer. Grad
uate students may register as late
as October• 5 without incurring
the fine.

Mark tends to believe that it was
the work or a group, rather than
just , one or two persons.

the job, it might have been ac
complished in about five min
utes, ha said.
Since its dedication in 1941, the
Lion Shrine has not missed a year
without being painted at least
once. Several years it was painted
twice.
