Presbyterian An inforirial Open House will convene in the Fireside Room, Westminister Foundation, 7:30 p.m. tomorrow. There will be group singing and refreshments. Hillel Foundation A ten-day period of introspec tion and prayer will begin tonight with the Jewish New. Year Ser vices conducted by Rabbi Benja min M. Kahn at Hillel Founda tion, commencing at 8 p.m. Rabbi Kahn will preach on "The Future Of Judaism in America." Nathan Feinstein, student president, will extend greetings to new members of the Foundation. Mr. Cvi Caspi of Israel will assist Rabbi Rahn by chanting all' the services of the Holy Days. Saturday morning services will begin at• 9 a.m, and continue until noon. Prof. Clifford Nelson will chant the reading of the scrip tures. Rabbi Kahn will speak on "The Birthday of the World." Services will also convene at' 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 5:15 p.m. Sun day. Sunday's 9:30 a.m. services will begin with-Elliot Krane's blow ing of the Shofar, the ram's horn which calls to the conscience ,s3f man, as a reminder of man's duty to God and fellow-man. The ser mon is entitled "Foundations for, the Future." A New Year Reception and Open House is scheduled from 3 to 5 pm. At Station 7, present matriculation card Dr. Kistler To Address Initial Fall Chapel Service Dr. Ramon Kistler, president of Beaver College, Jenkintown, will speak at, the first chapel ser vice of the fall semester in Schwab Auditorium at 11 a.m. Sunday, according to Jaines T. Smith, acting College chaplain. A frequent s visitor to the cam pus and chapel speaker, Dr. Kist ler has chosen as his topic "Our Present Need." The service: - non-denomination al in character is attended by a large number of students and members of the faculty repre senting many creeds and faiths. Tradition "The College Chapel' is one of the outstanding traditions of the College; and all new students are especially in- vited Sunday morning," Mr. Smith said. George E. Ceiga, assistant pro fessor of music and chapel organ ist, will present selections from the works of Bach and Rhein berger throughout the service. Pennsylvanian Dr. Kistler, a native Pennsyl yanian, received both the bache for of arts and bachelor of divin ity degrees from - Westminister College, and has also bedn con ferred with the honorary degrees of doctor of laws and doctor of divinity. He has traveled in Europe, Af rica and Palestine, and has served in his present position since 1940. THAI= IFC Appoints Housing Aide For the past several years the close of Orientation Week hag brought with it a problem in housing for fraternities and their Orientation Week guests. To aid the men who have been guests and who want to move into dormitory rooms and those who have been staying in the dorms or in private homes and wish to enter fraternity houses, IFC has appointed a housing of ficer to work in close conjunction with the Dean of Men's Office. Fraternities wishing to remove men from dorms or place other men in them at the end of the week are urged by IFC President Peter Giesey to contact the IFC housing officer, who is Luke Rice, and may be contacted by tele phoning 4246.
