Panhel Installs New Officers

urer, were installed at the final meeting of the Council Tuesday
night
The Council first passed an amendment providing for the
election of corresponding and recording secretaries from the Council
in contrast to the previous statute
stating that the secretary should
be someone not a member of
Panhel.
Elections were then held nam
ing Miss Inserra and Miss Edel
stein to their offices. Miss Wolfe
was elected to the treasurer’s post
at the previous meeting.
Mrs. Cyrus E. French was in
troduced as the new advisor to
Panhel. Miss Delores Jelacic,
president, presented a farewell
gift to Miss Helen Heckler, past
advsor, and thanked the Council
for the work of the outgoing year.

Delta Gammas entertained
their mothers at a Sunday morn
ing breakfast. Graduating seniors
were recently entertained at a
buffet supper by the alumnae.

party Tuesday evening.

Robert Louis was elected presi
dent and Richard Hannah vice

Brings Bohemia
To College
A hangman’s noose starkly
decorates the curtained front win
dow of an apartment at 222 West
Beaver avenue. A placard irj this
window reminds the world that
Tuesday is Froth day. A sign on
the door bears the simple legend,
“Too, Too, Too!” By these char
acteristics is the Bohemia of State
College designated.
Started a few years ago by stud
ents bored with the exigencies of
ordinary dormitory life, the apart
ment at 222 has become a more
or less legendary haven for eight
gentlemen who could be mildly
termed as campus personalities.
An abandoned florist’s shop,
complete with green house, forms
the setting for this picturesque
establishment. The previously
mentioned front window, from
which a battered piano can be
seen leaning in a dejected man
ner, was formerly used as a glass
showcase.
Furnished in true Greenwich
Village style, the apartment con
tains all the usual frippery of wo
men’s pictures, candles in acient,
wax-spattered bottles, and stylis
tic water color prints. A pair of
crossed fencing swords hang in
a corner and a weird Dionysian
mask eelrs menacingly down over
a doorway. A Cotton Bowl
Blanket, a pledge paddle, and
framed Froth covers are strewn
indiscriminately over the walls.

Ted Mann, Frank Philippbar, Hal
Waltzer, and Art Ward.
Upon interview, these unassum
ing individuals blushed becoming
