In spite of a record number of
entries, forfeits cut affective
ness of this years' IM wrestling
program. The wrestlers fought
a total of only 140 bouts, giving
up without a fight in 76
matches. Last season, 107 bouts
were wrestled.

Independents Register Shutout
Win in Bowling Competition
Three shutout triumphs were registered in Independent Men's
Bowling League games recently. Maintaining its first place edge,
the 7-11 Club scored a whitewash over Newman Club. Other shut,
outs found the Zeros triumphing over Penn State Club and Kaufmap
Club topping Cody Manor. All scores were 8-0.
In other games, Mac Hall was victor over Beaver House; ITK
over Btyflysks; Nittany Co-op
topped Tipplers and Ale and
Quail conquered Mets, all via the
6-2 route.
The week's high game singles
honors went to Ted Petry, 7-11
Club kegler, who rolled 211, bare
ly edging Mac Hall's Mike Ostafy,
210, and Dan Polansky, Beaver
House, who was close behind
with a 209 effort.
Other high game singles scores
were 206, posted by Red Phillips,
Beaver House, and 'Cody Manor's
Bob Dietrich, with 203.

event with a score of 874. The
league-leading 7-11 Club walked
off with high team series laurels
by toppling 2537 pins.
