Paul E. Baumgardner was
elected captain of the N.R.O.T.C.
rifle and pistol team Wednesday.
The team, which will compete in
the fourth naval district compe
tition, will vie in 50 postal matches
besides the shoulder -to-shoulder
events
Deadline for Reserves
Army Reserve officers who are
not engaged in reserve activities
are notified that February 1, 1949,
is the last date to apply for active
Reserve status. On this date Re
serve Officers not indicating a
choice will be transferred to the
Inactive Reserve and will not be
eligible for promotion, drill pay
or retirement benefits. Students
concerned may address inquiries
