WSGA To Sponsor
Little Sister Tea;
Al: Coeds Invited
Informal class dress will be the
prerequisite to attend the "Big-
Little Sister" tea sponsored by
WSGA in Simmons Hall lounges
from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, said
Nancy Schott, co-publicity chair
man.
The big sisters will invite their
little sisters to the tea. This is an
open affair, however, and any
sophomores or transfer students
who have not been assigned a big
sister are welcome, Miss Schott
added.
Co-Chairmen of the tea from
the WSGA Senate are Joan Berg
doll and Ann Fickenscher. Com
mittee chairmen from the House
of Representatives include Jean
Dußois and Phyllis Tamor, invi
tations; Margaret Bastian and
Helen Pond, decorations; Dolores
Hocker and Barbara Morris, re
freshments.

WRA Schedules
League Meets
Women's intramural basketball
competition begins in White Hall
at 7 p.m. next Tuesday and intra
mural bowling begins at 6:30 p.m.
Monday.
Practice basketball games were
held on Monday, Wednesday and
Thursday of this week between
the 24 sorority and independent
teams. Scores of these games will
not be included in determining
the winners of the three leagues.
Basketball League I games will
be played on Tuesday nights,
League II on Wednesdays, and
League 111 on Thursdays. Teams
representing Mac Hall and Phil
otes will play only through de
fault of teams in the leagues as
they did not sign up in time to be
included on the schedule.
Bowling competition is also di
vided into three leagues. League
will bowl on Monday nights,
League II on Tuesday nights, and
League 111 on Wednesdays.
Basketball competition will be
held until January 19 when final
playoffs will be held among the
teams leading each of the three
leagues. Bowling playoffs are
scheduled for January 18.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday on the bas
ketball court Kappa Alpha Theta
will meet Kappa Delta and Nit
tany Co-op will oppose Sim
mons. At 8 p.m. Alpha Xi Delta
is scheduled to meet Theta Phi
Alpha and Gamma Phi Beta
will meet Delta Zeta.
At 6:30 p.m. Monday the bowl
ling team of Kappa Alpha Theta
will oppose the team of Kappa
Delta. At 7:45 Nittany Co-op
will meet Simmons, at 8:30 Al
pha Xi Delta will bowl against
Theta Phi Alpha and at 9:15
Gamma Phi Beta will oppose
Delta Zeta.
Schedules, including all bas
ketball games and all bowling
contests, are available in the
WRA room of White Hall for the
intramural representatives of the
competing groups.

Miss Huston, a junior in the
School of Education, is a member

is from Davidsville.
Mr. Shupp, class of 1948, is do
ing graduate work in clinical
psychology. He is a member of
Kappa Delta Rho fraternity and
is from Mount Joy.

Announcement has been made

Rumbaugh to Margaret Cunning

Miss Cunningham, a member of
Alpha Xi Delta, is a senior in
Home Economics. She is from
Wilkinsburg, Pa.

The marriage of Miss Margaret

The Windcrest Wives elected
Mrs. Eileen Middleton president
at a meeting in Community Hall
at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The other officers elected at the
meeting are Mrs. Emily Hroma
dik, vice-president; Mrs. Mae
Fisher, secretary; Mrs. Gloria
Mientel, treasurer; Mrs. Vivian
Smith, publicity chairman.
Dr. Edward C. Henry spoke to
the organization on ceramics and
save a demonstration. Included
in the program was the awarding
of a door prize to one of the
members.
The group, composed of vet
eran's wives living in the Wind
crest section, is knitting squares
for a blanket to be presented to
the Bellefbnte Hospital, and also
plans to help two needy families
at Christmas with gifts of cloth
ing.
Hockey Teams
To Compete
Women's intramural Army and
Navy hockey teams will begin
competition on Holmes Field
next week, weather permitting.
Girls chosen to make up the
honorary teams were selected on
the basis of skill and participat
ion in the intramural program
conducted since the beginning of
the semester.
Army team members are Joan
ne Bauer, Phyllis Brenckman,
Sally Brooke, Joann Esterly,
Shirley Hackenburg, Joann Hoy,
Hildegard Hurm, Helen Milligan,
Eleanor Ralston, manager, Pat
Rauterberg, and Jackie Schoch.
Members of the Navy team

A coffee hour in honor of Mrs.

was held in the sorority's suite last
night.

tertained the sorority at a buffet
supper last night before the coffee
hour. .
Zeta Tau Alpha
Zeta Tau Alpha entertained rep
resentatives from Chi Phi, Delta
Sigma Phi, Phi Delta Theta, Phi
Kappa Tau, and Sigma Nu at an
informal party last night.
Phi Epsilon Kappa
At an initiation service held at
the State College Hotel, twelve
men were initiated into Phi Kap
pa Epsilon, men's physical educa
tion honorary. Those initiated
were: William Bowser, Harris
Bragg, Edward Crawford, Cloyd
Croft, Robert Eisentrout, James
Gehrdes, Clarence Hunsinger, Carl
Henry, Donald Koontz, Gene Mas
ter, James Mathews, and Joseph
Mivenzi.

monies, a banquet was held. Fred
Bell, class of '4B and newly ap
pointed football coach at Belle
fonte High School, was the guest
speaker. He spoke on the prob
lems of a new coach.
