Resort hotels and inns are asking for waitresses, waiters, and social directors, with salaries running from $3O to $5O per month. Tips, though, can run to another $5O per week at top-flight resorts. Men, women, and couples can work in summer camps as di- rectors, counselors an d staff members, with salaries usually dependant on age, experience and education. The Girl Scout camps want un it leaders, assistants, waterfront instructors, registered nurs e s, crafts specialists, dieticians and cooks. Most camps provide full maintenance, including medical care. Camps Soak Counselors Camp Wawayanda for boys is asking fo r counselors, offering a salary of $9O from Tune VI to Au gust 21 plus room and board. No experience is required as the camp provides a training program with extensive facilities. 'Pre-medical students may be interested in working a s ward as sistants at the Presbyterian Hos pital in New York. Valuable ex perience can be gained caring for patients. The hospital pays $lOO per month from June 16 to Sep tember 16. Smocks are furnished and laundered, and rooms are also furnished. Ward assistants work a six day, 48 hour week. Psych Hospitals The Mental Hygiene Western State Hospital, Stauntan, Va. is asking for psychiatric attendants on wards, both men and women. These attendants treat mentally ill patients. Salary is $7l to $9l Per month, with n 48 hour week and complete maintenance. Philotes Chooses Naumann President Margaret Naumann was re cently elected president of Philotes for the fall semester. A paper called "The Link" will be started and sent to members of the Philotes Alumni Associa tion which will be started with this yedr's graduates. Seniors Invited To Attend Social The Dean of Women's Office is inviting all graduating seniors to drop into the office any time from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday for a "Farewell Get-Together Hour." The Dean and her staff would like the seniors to meet with them and each other for possibly the last time before graduation. The affair will be very informal, and refreshments will be served.
