Sigma Nu Strengthens Lead
In IM Wrestling Tourney
Sigma Nu added 16 points to its lead in the intramural wrestling
tourney in Rec Hall Thursday night, and advanced five men into the
semi-finals of the tournament, scheduled for Monday night.
The team leaders have tallied 56 points thus far in the tourney,
and lead the second place Sigma Pi by 21 points. Sigma Nu copped
the IM wrestling tourney last year

finals.

men into the semi-finals. when
Bill Vernon. Paul Guiteras and
Leo Nobile won their quarter
final matches. KDR is fifth in the

last few minutes of practice
Thursday evening prevented Bob
Thompson, number one saberman
on the Penn State squad, from
competing in the National Inter
collegiate matches at Annapolis
today.
Thompson. who was taken to
the College infirmary Thursday,
will have x-rays taken today to
determine the extent of his in
juries.
While fencing with a team
mate. ThoMpson lunged forward
rust as his opponent lunged. The
saber point broke through the
mesh of the mask. penetrated
Thompson's nostril and went into
his cheek.
