PAGE TWO Where Do You Live? After viewing both parties' plans and inducements, the Pollock Circle-Nittany Dorm "political representatives" have decided to string along with the State party again this year. The prize the State party gave the Circlites was the permission to name the party's candidates for All-College president, All-College secretary-treasurer, Senior Class vice-president and Junior Class president. Quite a price to pay for the promise of a block of po tential votes! Last year the Circle politicians did get out the vote but there is no guarantee that they can do it again this Spring. Who says that the beet possible candidates for these positions live in the temporary living units? The best quali fied men should be selected for the office whether they are Independent or fraternity. Campus politics Should not deteriorate into a system that gives important offices to certain grouPs and then lets them choose the candidates. Pollock Circle-Nittany Dorms is not a solid block of votes this year. It is not a well-knit group such as a frater nity and even the Greek-letter houses are split this year. Maybe the State party has given in too far to the Splinterville politicians and should reconsider the agree ment as soon as possible.—BlF CAMPUS CALENDAR Tuesday. March le MORTAR Board.
