Prof. Warren Smith, director,
characterized the show as sure
fire comedy. “Always accepted as
one of the best in American
llarce,” he said, “it has been en
thusiastically received in revival
productions since its Broadway
closing.”
“Watch for Jean Bickerton’s
scene as Mabel,” he advised. “Our
researchers report that it’s the
first burlesque act ever staged by
Players.”
"Three Men on a Horse” was
specifically selected for its quali
ties as broad comedy, both to bal
ance an otherwise serious fare of
Players’ shows, and because of its
appeal to the collegiate group, he
