FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12, 1947 Alumnus Leaves Portrait Fund The College has accepted a be quest of $l5OO, made in the will of the late John Beaver White '94, which will be used for the painting of a portrait of his moth er, Mary Beaver White. A committee to select the ar tist will be named by James Mil_ holland, president of the poard of Trustees. The portrait will be hung in Mary Beaver White Hall, wom en's activities building at the College, which was named for the mother of the donor. Mrs. White was active in the interests of wo men students during the early years of the College. Mary Beaver White was a sis ter of Gen. James A. Beaver, for merly governor of Pennsylvania and twice president of the Board of Trustees of the College.
