Miss Pearl 0. Weston, who
had been acting dean of women
since September, 1946, after the
retirement of former Dean Char
lotte E. Ray, was appointed Dean
of Women. June 31 by the Board
of Trustees.
A former teacher of physical
geography at the Fifth Avenue
High School, Pittsburgh, where
she was President of the Penn
State Alumnae Club of Pitts
burgh an the Carnegie College
Club, ][hi Weston came to the
eampus as assistant to Miss Ray
in 1942. '
Miss Ray, who also was a for
