PAGE POUR Panhel Lifts Rushing Ban From New Coed Transfers Coeds who transferred from other schools this fall are now eligible for rushing, announced Mona Smulyan, Pan-Hellenic presi dent, today. It was printed in Tuesday's Collegian that transfer students would not be eligible until they had been on campus one semester. This decision was reversed by the Pan-Hellenic Council last night. The transfers may be pledged this semester but may not be initiated until next spring. This will give them one semester to make their Penn State average. They must register along with the other eligible coeds October 6 and 7 at the Dean of Women's office. All sororities will hold their second open houses from 2 to 4 p.m. this Sunday. Sororities which do not have suites or houses will have their open houses in the same lounges as last week. Silent period will continue until 2 p.m. Sunday. At 4 p.m. it will again be enforced until 8 a.m. Monday, October 13 Nursery Classes Draw Capacity Classes of the X-GI nursery be gan Tuesday with a capacity en rollment of 36 in the Religious Education Building of the Pres byterian Church at the corner of Beaver avenue and Frazier street. In order to accommodate the large number of children.. the group has been divided into two sections, one meeting Monday through Wednesday. the other Thursday and Friday. Child development majors at the College will assist with the work. which may be substituted for re quired practicum in the college nursery. They practiced at State College for two days before the game. Dr. Mack Writes Article for McCall's Magazine Dr. Pauline Berry Mack, direc tor of the Ellen H. Richards In stitute at the College, is the au thor of an article in the October issue of McCall's magazine. Titled, "School Lunch •is Not Enough," the article points out many of the inadequacies of school lunch programs. Dr. Mack points out that "a good school lunch is one that supplies the child with the needed foods which he fails to get in the morning and evening at home." The article in the current issue marks the second consecutive month that the College has been featured in McCall's magazine. The September issue included an article about the Elmer Sealover family of Windcrest.
