Tanguy Passes
Foreign Exams
Charles R. Tanguy, former stu
dent at the College, was one of the
few men to pass the State De
portment Foreign Service exami
nations. given recently.
Only 14.2 per cent of the men
taking the examination passed,
according to Dr. Edward A. Ache
eon, director of the Foreign Serv
ice review course..
Tangury, a native of Philadel
phia, also attended Swarthmore.
During the war he served in the
Pacific theater. Just before taking
the examination, he attended the
Foreign Service review course.
Tri-Delta Scholarship
Wanda Marie Rickard has been
awarded the annual scholarship
given by the Awards Committee
of Delta Delta Delta to a deserv
ing coed on every campus that
has a chapter of the sorority.
