The program, a sketch of Strauss’
life, includes several of his most
famous waltzes.
Five couples perform to the
“Emperor’s Waltz” in the Siamese
Number. Strauss’ “Village Swal

lows Waltzes” is used for an. all
float routine in which all arm
stroking is omitted. Other Strauss
melodies are “Blue Danube,” “In
Old Vienna,” and “Tales from the
Vienna Woods.”
