National Rating Saturday
Swimming the events Thursday
and Monday nights fo r the Col
lege, the varsity did not know
their national rating until after
Saturday, when the clockings are
officially due. Last year's team
placed first in the r egion and took
national second place.
Lee Ann Wagner, Who figured
in all three new r ecords, and Judy
Klein both were swimming tele
graphics for the first time for the
College. Mrs. Klein, Mrs. Robert
Klein in Windcrest circles, 'is a
transfer student from 'University
of Pennsylvania where she tcok
nitmerous records.
Also slated as a hope fo r na
tional placement by Miss Marian
Whallon, swim club advisor, was
Judy Klein's 53_second timing in
the 75-yard individual relay. Mar
ilyn Globisch took regional first
and national fifth places in that
event last year with 58 seconds:
Ruth Black also lowered the Glo
bisoh time, swimming the relay in
57.2 seconds.

Mrs. Klein topped the 1 minute
22.4 second timing whicih took
fourth national for State 'last year,
clocking in at 1 minute 18.3 sec
onds. Miss Black swam the 40-
yard back crawl in 27:5 seconds,
topping the 28.4_second time which
took a tie for third national last
year.
