this cooperation:
a. Meetings of the entire stu
dent body every two months at
which time a general Cabinet re
port would be given; class presi
dents would report for their class
and chairmen of importlEnt
committees, which had been 'ap
'pointed the preceding two months
would report on their work.
lb. Formation of a student
faculty Council composed as fol
lows:
1. All-College President.
2. Representative of Dean of
rMen.
3. Representative of the Dean
of Women.
4. IJF,C. President.
5. ILS.C. President.
6. Representative of President
Hetzel's office,'
7. President of 14r.S.GA.
8. Panhellenic Coucil.
The council would meet month
ly and handle only those matters
which are closely related to both
administration and-students.
(Purpose: The purpose of this
Council would be to discuss affairs
which pertain to both students and
the school administration and
would alleviate the ill-will which
is being maintained by having too
few administration men on All-
College Cabinet and too few stu
dents on the Student Welfare
Committee.
Furthermore we realize that
many problems which arise con
cerning the students do so be
cause a lack of understanding
upon the part of the zdministra
tion the above named Council
would help to correct this.
The purpose of the student body
meetings would be to report to
th e students the state of student
government and also to accept
suggestions from the entire stu
dent body concerning policies
which Cabinet should follow.
3. We pledge ourselves to ac
tively support a Student Union,

tual completion of these wings.
c. Get needed campus facilities
such as enclosed bulletin boards
and accessible sound and light
equipment for rallies and dem
onstrations.
3. Make Penn State a more
enjoyable place to attend. How?
a. Promote recreation on Sun
day other than the impossible
Boro Sunday movies so far
vainly sought.
93. Foster coeducational swim
ming at . the Glennland pool.
c. Impress upon the College
atehoritity; the urgent need for
seasonal facilities such as the
artificial ice pond and adequate
tennis court management, while
insuring transporation to Whip
ple's Darn and the Ski Lodge.
d. Create and instill a uni
fied Penn State spirit by integrat
ing the independent, town, and
'fraternity students through low
cost All-College activities.
Men and women of Penn State
are now challenged to accept the
opportunity to bring to office can
•didates who earnestly pledge
themselves to make realities those
policies which they feel the great
est majority of students want.
Your VOTE for the CAMPUS
KEY party is your chance to make
this possible.
for the Student Union Committee
lb. Continuation of this com
mittee as en active force in solici
ting support for a building by, if
necessary, appointing new men to
replace those whose keen interest
has been diminished.
4. We encourage the sponsor
ing by All-College Cabinet of
sending representatives of our
student body to the other colleges
at which Penn State freshmen are
enrolled. We realize that, after all,
those students belong to Penn
State as well as we do and are
eager to beccme more closely as
sociated with this Campus by:
1. Th e organization of the
above representatives.
2. Extending invitations to a
certain number of Penn. State stu
dents at these different schools to
come to this campus for a week
end.
Purpose: The purpose o'f the
above plank is to ensble these
freshmen to become definitely as
sociated with this campus. The
representatives could explain to
the 'freshmen various aspects of
life at Penn State such as—student
government, campus organiza
tions (Daily Collegian, Honor So
cieties, fraternities, and other so
cial organizations) and prdblems
of our College Community.
5. , One delegate from Pollock
Circle to be chosen by that group
to represent them on All-College
Cabinet.
The Nittany-independent Party
releases the above platform with
the sincere promise that, if elected,
we will carry out each and every
plank.
