Bucknell University, Lewisburg.

Barnes, who has done much in
the development of synthetic
sapphires, vitally needed during
the war, will discuss "Synthetic
Sapphires (Corundum) and Spi
nel."
From 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, the
Priestley Home and Museum at
Northumberl2nd will be open .to
visitors. The chemistry and chem
ical engineering laboratories at
Bucknell also will be open Tues
day afternoon and evening.
A dinner will be served at the
Reformed church in Lewisburg
at 6:45 p.m. and during the eve
ning lecture on the campus, Mrs.
Lester Kieft will hold open house
for the ladies at her home, 623
