75 Unfitted Heifers

have their chance to hit the jack
pot Saturday for steaks galore,
both for themselves and fbr all
their,friends. At that time they
will be able to buy•beef: in fact;
a half ton of it or more, unfitted
and on the hoof.
The occasion of this outburst
of beef is the sale of 75 head of
pUre-bred Aberdeen-Angus heif
ers at the Beef . Cattle Barn at 1
p.m. Saturday. This will be the
first auction held by the College
at which unfitted heifers are to
be sold in lots of two, three or
fora• cows—thus 'the half ton or
more.
PSC Gaybird and PSC Gay
bird, 11, will be sold from the
College's registered herd, while
William L. Henderson, professor
of . animal husbandry, will sell
Nittany Lady Revolt, the 4th, and
Nittany \Talley Gay Bird from
his herd.

Ag Conference
The College 'will be represented
by seven faculty men at the an
nual meeting of the Pennsylvania
section, American Society of Ag
ricultural Engineers, which will
be held in the Penn-Alto Hotel,
Altoona, on June 7 and 8.
Dr. Lyman E. Jackson, dean of
the School of Agriculture, will be
the,„ principal speaker at the Fri
day night banquet. Prof. Ralph
U. Blasingame, head of the de
partment of agricultural engi
neering, will review his recent
trip abroad in a disCussion of
"Agricultural Engi n e e ring in
England" at the Saturday mor
ning programs
