Tomorrow the Lion track team will face the best trackTnen of other colleges in the IC-4A meet at West Point. In Saturday's meet Bill Nugent and Bob Steed were both double winners. Nugent won the 440 yard dash in 51.2 seconds and the 220 in 23.2. Steed 'won the 120 high hurdles in 17.4 seconds and the 2.20 lows in 26.8 seconds. Muhlenburg failed to place at all in the 220, 440, half mile, pole vault, and broad jump. Although many times and distances were not too good Saturday, the team will do better at the IC-4A meet than at the Penn Relays, accord ing to Coach George Harvey. At the relays many events were won Stickmen Meet Middies; ore, 12-8 Bow to Swarth The Nittany Lion lacrosse team will play a return match. with the U. S. Naval Academy tomorrow. The Annapolis team so far this season has been undefeated in college competition. In Penn State's last encounter with the Middies, the score was 20 to 0 in favor of Navy. • The Lions, bucking up against competition of their own class, 'bowed to Swarthmore College, Saturday, 12-8. The Lions were fighting all the way, according to Coach 'Thiel, and outscored the Garnet in the last half, 6-5. Lion goals were scored. by Taylor, 4, Nolan, 2, and Hannum and Ker win, 1 each. "Our weakest play," the Lion mentor said ; "was , defensively and in handling ground balls, and due to our !crude and inexperienced stickhandlers we -were charged with no less than 10 penalties, dur ing which time the enemy scored 6 times."
