He used a pedometer to find that his daily average was 7.3 miles. Nine miles was tops for a single day. Proposes Counseling Service A counseling service for return ing servicemen is advocated by Dr. Marion R. Library Grows There were 1500 volumes in the first library at the College in 1859. The present library contains more than 200,000 volumes. PSCA Announces Theme Of Student Christian Movement Conference "Because The Human Family Is One" has been announced as the theme of the annual confer ence of the Student Christian Movement to be held at Camp Kanesatake, Spruce Creek, June 5 to June 12. Anyone interested. :in attending the conference may inquire at the PSCA office for further in formation and registration blanks. Transportation will be furnished at various times during hte week and financial assistance, if necess ary, will be available for Christ ian Association members. Topics of discussion during the conference will be "The Christian Understanding of Human Unity," "Social Forces Supporting and Resisting Human Unity," "Per sonal abd Group Christian Action for Human Unity." Students and faculty members from colleges and universities from New. Jersey to West Vir ginia will participate in these dis cussions, worship, addresses, and fcrums throughout the week. Group singing and outdoor sports including hiking, tennis, . volley ball, hockey, softball and swim ming are on the recreation pro gram. Fees for the week will total $lB for room, board and registration. Medical attention will be_ avail able on grounds. PSCA Banquet (Continued from page one) Gullo of the music department will lead in group singing, assist ed by Pat -Lamade. Invocations will be given by Rector John N. Peabody of the Episcopal Church, followed by "The C. A. Year," a review of the past year at the Christian Association reported by Claire Weaver '45, presiders of PSCA Cabinet. Ruth Hill's vocal solo will be followed by Dean Graham's talk. James Smith, PSCA general secretary, will present awards to graduating seniors who have con tributed outstanding service to the Association. Dr. C. 0. Williams, acting chairman of the PSCA Board, will discuss business in brief, followed by elections, and installation of the Board of Direc tors. The group will then sing "Am erica." This will be followed by an informal reception and re freshments. She will leave her present position of dean of women at Albright College, Reading, in September. A graduate of Westminster Col lege in the class of 1937, 'Dean Ste venson secured her master's de gree from Ohio University. She is a member of Kappa. Delta Pi, na tional education honorary frater nity, and of Psi Chi, national psy chology honorary fraternity. present military-civilian enrol ment at the College. First Coed Admitted The first woman student was admitted to the College in 1871. Phi Kappa Phi Was First First national honorary scholar ship fraternity to establish a chapter at the College was Phi Kappa Phi.
