PAGE SIX Women Elect Diener WSGA President With a hundred vote margin over her opponent, Kathleen Os good, Patricia 'Diener with 195 votes was elected WSGA Sen ate president while !Miss Osgood will serve as secretary of that body. Patricia G. Hallberg with 162 votes won out over Doris Funk with 135 for the position of WSGA vice president. Miss Funk will serve as junor senator. The office of treasurer was alloted to Ger trude G. Rosen who defeated Bet tyi M. Shenk wth a vote of 186 to 107. Elizabeth H. Furst dropped the senior senator spot to Jeanne B. Ogden . when she came out on the short end of a 72-24 vote. Helen J. Martin took over the job of junior senator when she polled 37 votes to the 21 of Jane Cromis. Winning team is composed of freshmen, juniors and seniors; sophomore team is made up of sec ,ond year coeds. A Curtiss-Wright team, also in existence, has not seen action yet. ' Ushering in the season last Thursday, scorers. Jane Wolbarst and Libby McKinley made four and one goals respectively to land the freshmen on the long end of the 5-1 score. Rival Dorcas Newcomer made the sole goal for sopho mores. 'Wolbarst shone again in the next chapter, making the three goals for the freshmen; Joan Finn, only sophomore scorer, made two. 'Game number three again found Wolbarst high on the scoring list, responsible for four points; team mate Delbert Weiner made a point for the victors. The groups participating range in size from 10 to 30. Due to insufficient numbers this " week-end, three sororities have been compelled to withdraw from the sing: Alpha Epsilon Phi, Kappa Delta, and Theta Phi Al pha. The affair will not,,be com petitive this year. Climaxing the Sing will be group harmonies conducted by Frank Gullo, assistant professor of music.
