PAGE SIX 60 Candidates Report For Fall Football Practice 1 Soccermen To Resume Practice Sessions With their first contest with Gettysburg, October 3, less than a month away, Coach Bill Jeffrey's 3942 soccer squad will resume practice sessions this Week after a two-week vacation. Practicing every evening from 7 till 9, the booters took advantage of the Summer semester to thor oughly condition themselves for the Fall program. Since Coach Bill perenially turns out a championship squad, possibilities for this year's team which .has the advantage of the two-months extra practice, look promising. The booters this Summer num bered approximately 30 and with the return of a number of veterans who did not attend the June, July and August term, the "Amiable Scot" should have a comparatively large squad to pick from. .A`". .• PENN STATE LAUNDRY • 320 W. Captain Hap Freeman, one of the East's out standing fullbacks, Allen Heck, another fullback, Johnnie Struck, another in the long line of "mir acle-save" goalies which Jeffrey has developed, Max Chenoweth, center forward, and Jose Lombana, Latin American whirlwind made up this group. Practicing along with this nucle us of veterans was a promising group of move-ups from last year's yearling squad. So far Coach Jeffrey has not set a definite date for new freshmen hopefuls to begin practice but ac cording to a statement made just before the close of last semester he will start sessions sometime this week.
