The exhibition lacrosse game is
part of the Sports Day program,
planned to raise money for the
TJSO to provide recreational fa
cilities for men in the service. The
lacrosse show will be a 25-minute
battle.
Opposing teams, North and
South, will be selected from 17
eastern seaboard colleges. All-
Star North stickmen will come
from Penn State, Yale, Hobart,
Union College, Syracuse, and
Princeton.

Music Tryouts
Set Next Week
Freshman tryouts for the Col
lege's musical organizations will
be held next Tuesday and Wednes
day, June 9 and 10, Hummel Fish
burn, head of the musical depart
ment, announced yesterday.
Blue Band will be the only or
ganization from which freshmen
will be excluded for the Summer
semester because it has already
started rehearsals for a series of
outdoor concerts which are being
planned. Freshmen will, however,
be eligible for tryouts for the
marching band to be held some
time in August and for ROTC
band, shortly after their arrival
here.
Freshmen tryouts for men’s glee
club and College choir will be held
next Tuesday and Wednesday.
.Men trying out for glee club and
choir are asked to report to 200
Carnegie Hall at 7 p. m., Tuesday,
and women trying out for choir
are to report to 211 Carnegie Hall
at 7 p. m., Wednesday.
A special schedule for the sym
phony orchestra requires that it
run only for six weeks, June 29-
August 8, during Summer session.
Rehearsals will be held daily and
men and women are eligible for
tryouts.
