Varsity, Frosh Trackmen Face Owls Here Today Glenn, Frescoln Return For Ist Dual Meet ■Facing each other for the second ■time in history Lion and Temple trackmen will meet on New Beav er Field at 4 p. m. this afternoon. Their first meet was held in 1931 and was a victory for the Nittany thinclads. At the same time, the Lion yearlings will meet Temple frosh after having beaten the Cornell cubs in a close meet last Saturday. In this, the second and last fresh man meet of the season, the junior Lions are highly favored as the stronger team. Leading the attack for the var sity will be the Nittany speed merchant, Barney Ewell, and Noi-m Gordon, one of the outstand ing distance men in the East. Re turning to the lineup after layoffs in last Saturday’s meet against Michigan State and bolstering the •attack will be Johnny Glenn, ace high jumper, Len Frescoln, long distance discus man, and Marty Schiff, new sprint star. Other outstanding performers in the distance department who will' be expected to show well on the Beaver Field cinders are Curt Stone, Herm Goffberg, Mac Smith, and Ed Miller. Topping the tim bers for the Lions will be Barney Plesser and Gene Nevill.
