in east lounges of Atherton Hall.

M. Taylor. Miss Babcock was
presented with- a book, “Master
pieces of World Art,” in recogni
tion of distinguished scholarship.

Asks ‘Evacuation’
Because of the necessity to
houseclean dormitories in nine
days this Spring, coeds are asked
to clear rooms completely over
the vacation from May 9 to May
18, Miss Emma F. Richardson,
dormitory supervisor, announced
yesterday.
Personal belongings should be
packed in trunks, suitcases, and
boxes, and placed in trunk and
storage rooms which will be lock
ed. Miss Richardson suggested
that parents visiting this weekend
take home as much luggage as
possible. Discarded clothing
should be. given to town charity
organizations.

Winning Streak
From Last Season
Last year’s inti-amui-al softball
champ, Ath West, continued their
winning streak by defeating Kap
pa Delta, 31-3, on Holmes Field
yesterday afternoon. Alpha Omi
cron Pi trounced Phi Mu, 13-5.
Mildred Cookerly made 2 homei’s
for Ath West, while Betty Wiley,
Audrey Dice, Sally Hostettcr, and
Marce Stringer each brought in 1.
Marge Geer made 1 homer for
Kappa Delta. Ann Drivas and
Georgeanna Holt were responsible
for 1 homer each for AOPi and
Phi Mu.
Tn a walk-aw.ay for Ath East,
Zeta Tau Alpha was overwhelmed
by a 34-18 score. Heavy sluggers
were Marty Duffman, Helen
Hooper, and Marty Haverstick for
Ath East, and Bea Baumunk and_
Connie Reddig for Zeta. Kappa"
Alpha Theta, trounced Alpha Chi
Omega, 20-11, with Jimmie Irwin,
Theta, making the only homer.
AOPi will meet Kappa Delta,
and Theta’s will play Zeta’s at 4
p. m. today. Quarter finals will
begin at 6:30 with a game between
Ath West and Ath East*
Opening the consolation tourna
ment yesterday, Delta Gamma was
victorious over Gamma Phi Beta,
29-20, and Chi Omega defeated
Kappa Kappa Gamma, 14-4. In
this tourney Alpha Chi’s will meet
Phi Mu at 4 p. m. today. Teams de
feated twice in the intx-amural
tournament are automatically
placed on this list.
