Early in the year the Lions were invited to take the place of Yale, a regular member, when the Elis indicated that they would withdraw from competition this year. However, Yale has since reversed its decision and thirteen teams rather than the usual 12 will participate. Captain Bob Harder, Wally Ri ley and Tom'Reed are entered in the foils competition. George Gimber, Bernie Hankin and Jim Montgomery will handle the sa ber assignments. In the epee bouts Harder, John DußOis and Bob Swope will be entered.
