Society of Mechanical Engineers,
who will hold a convention at the
College, April 11 and 12, WSGA
Freshman Council will provide co
ed escorts for delegates at the
WSGA formal dance April 11.
Miss Babcock recommended that
the new Senate add a by-law in
constitution that town senator
candidates be sophomores, since
they become automatic members
of WSGA Junior Service Board.
Interfraternity Ball hours were
set at 3 a. m. Friday and 1 a. m.
Saturday for all coeds, and 9 p. m.
Sunday for freshmen.
Freshman women’s “move-up
day” will be Mother’s Day, April
17. Campus organizations will be
informed of-freshman three-week
no dating period at the beginning
of next semester, so that special
social functions will not be sched
uled for them.

Air Raid Alarm
Silences Coeds
Silencing the hub-hub of nor
mal college life, the air raid alarm
filled the halls of Women’s Build
ing last night. Coeds tumbled
from bed, tossed'books aside, and
grabbed their coats in prepara
tion for what might follow—a
practice drill.
College authorities, realizing the
seriousness of an actual air raid,
called the first in a series of prac
tice drills before the all-college
blackout. Coeds were informed
to prepare for practice -by con
veniently placing housecoat, coat,
and slippers nearby. Women were
ordered to turn off lights and shut
doors as they left tlieir rooms.
