notice to the collegiate track world
over the weekend that they would
be one of the main contenders in
Saturday's IC4-A meet by placing
second in the National AAU cham
pionships.
Led by Barney Ewell, who scor
ed eight points, the Seven-man 'con
tingent from the Nittany hills scor
ed second only to the NeW York
A. C., perennial team champions.
The teeth's ShoWing enabled
them to lead Foedltarn, NYU, and
Georgetown, who tied for second
place With nine points, among the
top college competition of the na
tidn.
Johnny Glenn's high jump per

half inches, tying his "Own Penn
State record set at the Ohio State
