We, The Women
Far-Seeing Coeds
Rewarded By Charter
'Mid all this hullabaloo about
mixed drinking and mismanaged
organizations,. it gives us immense
pride and pleasure to congratulate
the 21 members of Charitides upon
their acceptance into the national
fraternity, Kappa Delta.
For a small group of women to
organize as a local and face the
long upward climb through catn
pus and Panhellenic recognition to
a national charter requires a max
imum of courage and patience.
Just due must also be awarded
those graduates who had foresight
enough to build up their club by
rushing neck to neck with the more
powerful sororities,
.knowing that
what they were aiming for would
never be reached while they were
.in College.
• The 11 national campus sororities
will welcome this newcomer to
Panhellenic Council as a full
fledged member, realizing that this
achievement marks another for
ward step in the constant grOwth
and importance of women here. We
join with them and the rest of the
campus in giving credit to a job
well done.
