Rhein '43, named last nf*ht to represent Penn State on Sunday's "Hour of Charm" pro gram, will leave for New York Friday night on an expense-free trip. Miss Rhein has tentatively de cided to sing "The Things I Love" with Phil Spitalny's All-Girl Or chestra at 10 p..m. Sunday over the Red Network of the National Broadcasting Company. Prior• to leaving, Miss Rhein will sing at noon today before the Bellefonte Kiwanis Club, before the State College Rotary Club to night, and before the Bellefonte Chamber of Commerce on Thurs day. Last night she appeared on the program of the State. College Kiwanis Club.' James A. Leyden '42 is her accompanist. . Representatives from the pro grant will. meet Miss Rhein and her chaperon at the station and will entertain them in New York. She will , rehearse about three times with the orchestra before the broadcast. Aside from having all expenses paid, Miss Rhein will receive $lOO for'appearingon the program and 525 as pin money. Three of the nine coeds appearing on : the pro gram series will be chosen to re appear and receive .$lOOO .each. From these three, a 'winner will be selected.
