SAE vs. Delta Upsilon." Results
of last night’s games are as fol
lows:
In a thrilling last minute field
goal, SAE came from behind to
down a hard fighting Sigma Pi
quintet, 12-11. Craig White
paced the winners with 6 points,
and Banks McFadden chalked up
4 tallies for the losers.
Another upset waS registered
in the adjoining court When Del
ta Upsilon, trailing 8-1? at the
half, defeated Delta Tau Delta,
31-24. High scorer of the game
was Jack Brand, DTD, with 12
points! Moylan Hull was high
man for the winners with 11.
Sigma Nu, leading-10-8 at the
half,-went on to nose out Delta
Sigma Phi, 22-19. Rod Sachs and
Don Taylor . each garnered 8
markers for the winners. The
losers were led by Roy Barclay’s
7 tallies and. Dave Marvin’s 5
points.'
. In one of the cleanest fought
games this season, Beta Theta Pi
won over Phi Sigma Kappa, 21-
15. The winners were paced by
Don Leyden with 6 points, and
John King "starred for the losers
with 7.

ice cream party.
Baseballers Practice
For Opener With Penn
With only-a little more than a
week of practice remaining be
fore their first game at Penn on
April 11, the varsity baseballers
ran through a practice game yes
terday with pitchers taking the
mound for three innings apiece.
Coach Joe Bedenk temporarily
switched veteran - Eddie Sapp
from his second base post to the
initial sack in'an attempt to solve
the first baseman problem.

Cathaum Theatre for a three day

fashioned house -of- mystery
melodrama.
“Topper” again is played by
Roland Young, and his wife, by
Billy Burke. Joan Blondell, who
is killed both at the beginning

Lighfbody Will Captain
1942 Ice-Hockey Squad
Larry Lightbody, brilliant Penn
State ice-hockey goalie, was
elected captain of the 1941-42
squad -at the annual hockey team
banquet held in the State College
Hotel last night.
He succeeds George Wolbert,
active 1940-41 captain and star
defense man of the Lion six.
Dean Carl P. Schott of the
Physical Education . school was
the principal speaker at the ban
quet. He commended the rise of
the hockey team from an insig
nificant standing do , a position
where they are accounted as a
regular varsity sport.
