Lions Fate Lehigh
On Ice Tonight
On the road again this week
end, the Lion ice hockey squad
will meet a strong Lehigh Uni
versity six at Hershey tonight in
one cif the toughest games of
State’s second 'hockey season.
The Engineers, defeated 7-2 by
the Nittanymen last year, are
vastly improved in all-around
playing this season. The Lions
have had little practice this past
week, making hopes for a victory
slim.
With the exception of the
goalie position, vacated by Larry
Lightbody because of injuries
from last week's Georgetown
game,- all positions will be filled
by regulars.

4 Lion Boxers In
Last Dual Meet
When Penn State's boxing
team ends its 1941 dual meet sea
son against Michigan State at
East Lansing tonight, four of the
Lion .boxers will be making their
last collegiate dual meet appear
ance.
Ending their dual meet careers
are Vic Fiore, 120-pounder, Cap
tain Frank Stanko, 135-pounder,
Jimmy Lewis, 155-pounder and
former EIBA 165-pound k J ng,
and Paul Scally, 175-pounder.
Chuck Peters, stellar Lion
football tailback, will make his
first and last dual meet bid
against the Spartans in the
heavyweight position. Peters,
who has been working out with
the team regularly, takes the
heavy assignment as Scally
moves down to 175.
Les Cohen, game 165-pounder
who has been unable to score
a victory so far this season, turn
ed in two of his best sparring
sessions of the year this week
to win another chance in this
weight. Cohen’s workout’s yes
terday and Thursday displayed
an agressiveness which has been
lacking in his meet bouts.
Homer Hoffman will handle
the 145-pound assignment . in
place of Bobby Baird, All-College
president-elect, who has been
kept from practice by a persist
ent cold.
With only two victories out of
six dual meets, ‘the Lion mitfnen
are 'hoping to boost their average
by an impressive decision over
the Spartans before they go into
final training for the national
toiirriament here, only two weeks
away.
